Mi School

My school, JASMS(Jose Abad Santos Memorial School) of Quezon City was greatly damaged by the typhoon "Ondoy."

6 hours ago, we visited our school to donate soaps and disinfectants. Sadly, students (especially children) were not allowed to help, because snakes started appearing. I was only allowed by the guard to take pictures just from the driveway.

The wall protecting our school from the creek broke down. The flood has reached the basketball net. The elementary, high school, and MS department; the clinic; and the library were damaged. Not one locker was saved.

None of the 40 computers of the elementary and high school computer laboratory were not saved. (20 computer sets were brand new, it was delivered to the computer laboratory in July.) Among 20 to 30+ computers of the college department, only five survived.

For one whole week or more, we will have no classes.

Please do pray for our school, and our country.

26 Tragedy

A typhoon named: "Ondoy" has struck our country early morning, especially Metro Manila. I have been watching news reports, and heard that in some areas, namely: Marikina, Pasig and Cainta are horribly affected. We watched household appliances float, even cars.

It was said that the muddy water has risen up to 9 meters (or more).

They said that this kind of disaster hasn't occurred for more than twenty years, 'til now.

Please do offer at least a minute of payer for those who had lost everything, for those who are in need of food and shelter, and strength for the rescuers and volunteers.

You may also help out by donating money to the Red Cross (I think).

Ugh.

I took our long test today in Trigonometry. I knew the first time I saw the questionnaire that I would fail. I was f-ing mental blocked, again. I thought, Second Trimester - beginning anew?! Plain wrong - from the start.

Anyway, this is what I get in reading. I got so hooked up on reading A Girls' Guide on Hunting and Fishing (by Melissa Bank) that I tend to forget that I still have a lot of homework and studying to do.

I was bored in Drafting class, so I drew a sketch of a friend. It was my first time to sketch something not really out-of-this-world looking. I'll upload it sometime maybe this week.

My friend who volunteered to pay for my ticket was grounded so, there wouldn't be an 'UP' day for us tomorrow. I was so looking forward for tomorrow, with hopes that 'UP' day will come true.

Fortunately, there's Chelsea Latimer and Minus The Bear's music to cheer me up.
